This is a difficult review to write because I've enjoyed Lisa Cullen's other reverse harem books, so I went into this expecting to enjoy this one as well.

Unfortunately, something about the heroine's introduction immediately rubbed me the wrong way.  It wasn't simply that she was portrayed as a spoiled rich young woman–I have enjoyed that character type in other books.  There was something about the way she was introduced and the overall tone of the opening that immediately grated on me.

I originally closed the book almost immediately and assumed it was just my mood.  Rather than reviewing it right away, I let it sit for nearly a year before trying again.  When I reopened it, I had the exact same reaction and closed it again.

Because I stopped so early, I can't fairly comment on the plot, the romance, the writing as a whole, or whether the heroine grows throughout the story.  This review simply reflects my experience with the opening, which unfortunately wasn't enough to keep me reading.
